A general contractor is only as good as what happens when nobody is watching
Most of a building disappears. Footings go underground, framing disappears behind drywall, flashing hides under cladding. The parts that decide whether a building lasts are the parts an owner never sees once the keys change hands. That is the work we organize ourselves around.
As a Denver general contractor, our job is to take a set of drawings and a budget and turn them into a finished, inspected, documented building, while keeping the owner informed enough to make good decisions along the way. We work across commercial construction, residential construction, custom homes and renovations, with pre-construction and project management supporting all of it.
- 01
Say the number early
Bad news about cost or schedule gets cheaper the sooner it is shared. We would rather have an uncomfortable conversation in week three than an argument in month nine.
- 02
Build what was drawn
The drawings are the agreement. When the field needs to deviate from them, the change is documented, priced and approved before it is built.
- 03
Leave a record
Inspection results, warranties, manuals and as-built information belong to the owner, organized and handed over at closeout.
How we approach a new project
Every project starts with the same questions, whether it is a kitchen in a 1920s bungalow or a commercial shell downtown. What is the jurisdiction and its permit path? What does the ground say? Which decisions have long lead times? Where is the budget most exposed? Answering those first is what our construction process is built around.
Front Range construction has its own rules. Expansive clay soils, hail, heavy spring snow, intense sun at altitude and a city permit process with real review times all shape how a Denver project should be planned. Our Denver building guide covers those conditions in more detail.
The bottom line
- One accountable builder for drawings, budget, schedule and permit.
- Problems and costs surfaced early, in writing.
- Closeout documents organized and handed over, not left in a truck.
