Why Choose General Contractors Denver

Trust is earned by being checkable. Here is how we answer the questions any owner should put to any general contractor in Denver, including us.

Six questions, answered before you have to ask

These are the same six questions from our homepage. Hold every builder you interview to them. Answers that are vague, verbal or delayed are information too.

Q01

Which Denver contractor license do you hold, and does it cover this project?

Ask for our license number and class at the first meeting, and check it with the city before you sign anything.

The license class has to match the type and size of your project. If it does not, we will say so.

Q02

Can I see current certificates of insurance?

Certificates of insurance come directly from the insurance agent, not as a photocopy, so you can confirm the policy dates and coverage yourself.

Q03

Who is on site every day, and who do I call?

Before work starts you get the name of the person running the site day to day and the person responsible for the schedule and budget, with direct contact details for both.

Q04

How are change orders priced and approved?

Every change is written, priced and signed before the work is performed. The change order log shows approved and pending changes with their cost, so the final invoice holds no surprises.

How project reporting works

Q05

Will you provide lien waivers with each payment?

Conditional lien waivers accompany each pay application and unconditional waivers follow once payment clears, from us and from the subcontractors and suppliers on that draw.

Q06

What does the warranty cover, in writing?

The warranty is written into the contract: what it covers, for how long and how to make a claim. Manufacturer warranties are registered and handed over with the closeout documents.

Want to see how these commitments play out on a real schedule? Read the construction process, or browse the services to find the one that matches your project.
